Getting to King's Cross from Stansted Airport
- At the arrivals hall, take the first exit on the right.
- To the left of the main doors, take the underground ramp and continue through to the bus station.
- Go to the booking office located on your right to purchase a ticket for King’s Cross if you haven’t purchased one online.
- Board the Stansted Citylink coach to King’s Cross station at bay 11 or 12.
- Arrive at the western entrance to St. Pancras International Station.
- Enter St. Pancras and walk straight through to the exit on St. Pancras road.
- Cross St. Pancras road and enter King’s Cross Station.
- Follow the signs to the underground platform you require.
King’s Cross Station’s Transport Options
King’s Cross is a substantial transport hub, where you can find six underground routes to take you most places in London city and high speed overground inter-city trains all over the UK. The underground lines are Circle, Hammersmith and City, Metropolitan, Northern, Piccadilly and the Victoria lines.
Multiple bus and taxi services run from outside the station also. Many facilities are available within King’s Cross train station that you can avail of as you wait for the tube, train or bus. Numerous cafés and restaurants offer a diverse selection of delicious hot and cold foods and there are a variety of shops.
The area around King’s Cross
In the vicinity, you can enjoy more shopping and dining options. Granary Square is particularly popular, where you can delight in watching the fountain displays in fine weather; they are also particularly beautiful lit up at night.
Sip a coffee at one of the terraces and watch the people go by. Walk a little further and relax by the canal as colourful boats slowly pass. Numerous entertainment options are also available in the area, with new exhibitions, plays and events being organised regularly.
From Arrivals to the Bus Station
It's easy to navigate to the coach station by following the signs throughout Stansted airport. When you enter the arrival’s hall, take the first exit on the right, bringing you to the main hall of the terminal building.
To the left of the main doors you will see a ramp that leads underground. Follow the signs to the bus station, where you will see an office on the right. Here you can purchase your ticket, although we recommend booking online to save time and money.
Board the Stansted Citylink airport bus to King’s Cross at bay 11 or 12. Relax in reclining seats and enjoy complementary Wi-Fi access while on the bus.
The journey takes approximately 75 minutes and we recommend arriving 15 minutes before the stated departure time to load your bags and get comfortable. Bus services from Stansted airport to King’s Cross station run every half hour during the day.
In London City
You will arrive close to the western entrance to St. Pancras International Station. Enter the station and walk straight through to the eastern exit. There will be escalators straight ahead, but take one of the exits at street level.
Cross over St. Pancras road and enter King’s Cross underground station. Follow the signs for the particular underground line or intercity train you need.
